all,
Charlotte and I are headed out to Savannah Tennessee to see Cakes and Pap. We will be traveling through the night.
I am not bringing my laptop, nor do I plan to check my email, so if you need either of us, please call us on the cell phone.
Everyone, have an excellent Memorial Day weekend.
Regards,
Joseph and Charlotte
Anne: I’ll update when we get back. Hopefully Charlie Buckley will have sent me the pictures from John Broussard’s ‘First Salute’ ceremony.
see, dogs have these things called ‘jowls’. it’s that piece of fat that hangs off their mouth. i don’t know exactly what they’re there for, but i can tell you exactly what georgia uses hers for. concealmeant. that’s right, concealment. and let me tell you, that dog is pretty damned good at jowl concealment. today, while i was enjoying my morning off before work, i decided to treat myself to a tasty brownie that charlotte had made for me earlier in the week. of course, you can’t eat a brownie without milk, and you all know i love me some milk. so, i cut my brownie, got some milk and sat down to watch tv. naturally, georgia sat with me, with her snout propped on my leg while she eyeballed that brownie on the table. now, i know that dogs can’t eat chocolate. georgia probably knows that too. she doesn’t care. as far as i know, the only people food we feed her is pizza crust. anyway, halfway through my brownie, i needed more milk. so i got up, went into the kitchen and got more milk. when i came back and sat down, i realized that my brownie was gone. georgia was also not on the couch, and when i got up to find her, she was hiding on the other side of the table. her mouth was open and appeared empty. she eats slow and i know she couldnt have eaten it that fast. i didn’t know what to think; where did my brownie go? did i finish it? am i going mad? it was then that i saw it. the jowl. the jowl had a bulge in it. i could only tell because it had a piece of almond flake hanging out of it. somehow, that crazy dog found a way to hide that piece of brownie in her jowl. remember that her mouth was open and there was no brownie in sight. don’t worry, i got it from her before she could eat it so she won’t be sick or bouncing off the wall (well, anymore so than normal).
just wanted to share. take care.
charlotte and i are out of town this weekend. i’m back in oxford (pictures to follow) and charlotte’s at a friend’s wedding (pictures to follow).
regards,
